Rear window adhesive failure in convertible top. Chrysler has issued a technical service bullitin # X31 which covers cost of repairs but only for cars that were delivered to certain southern states but, all 05 crossfires were built in the same plant in belgium and should be covered. Failure of any window is not considered normal wear and tear. Covering only some vehicles is unfair business practice.

Glass back window falling out of convertible top and Chrysler is refusing to fix there manufacture defect. This is a safety hazard to the driver of the car and other vehicles on the road.

As I was driving across a bridge on the inter coastal waterway in melbourne Florida, the top piece of the metal windshield molding was blown loose from the vehicle and slammed against the top. If the top had been down, passengers could have possible been seriously injured. Damage to other vehicles could have occurred and/or injury to pedestrians was possible. I was not able to locate the metal molding.

Rear window came loose from convertible top. Chrysler is only repairing cars that were delivered to southern states when new. My mom bought this car in pa and drove it to fla when she retired...car has been there since 2008 or 2009. Doesn't seem fair to me...only 27,893 miles! The rear window of my 2005 crossfire limited convertible has almost completely become detached in the Oklahoma summer heat at 52,000 miles. After noticing the tsb and the fact that Chrysler did in fact state there was a problem with the glue on certain models, I called Chrysler to inquire only to be told that there was nothing they could do since a) the vehicle exceeded the 36,000 mile warranty and B) I was not the original owner. I purchased the very well maintained vehicle in June, 2013 with only 49,000 miles. Chrysler has acknowledged the fact that it is a factory defect with these models....it only seems reasonable that they Chrysler at least replace the "defective part."

Rear window is coming loose - one side has completely delaminated. Sounds like it is going to fall or break. I have seen and heard that Chrysler will stand behind it up to 10 years or 100,000 miles. I took my car to a garage and he told me that I should contact Chrysler. If the top is up, I cannot drive faster than 45 mph without it vibrating. This is a severe safety hazard. The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire convertible. The contact stated that convertible rear window seal failed and caused the window to separate while the contact was driving 60 mph. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileage was 99,000.

The rear glass window of the convertible top became loose, separating from the fabric top over a 19-inch linear length, posing a serious hazard while driving with the top up; with the potential that it may come completely off while traveling at normal highway speeds.

The rear window came unglued from the convertible top while driving down the highway. If the defroster cable had not held the window would have flown out, and could have seriously harmed other motorists. Chrysler knows of this issue and has issued tsb 23-035-11 which acknowledges the defect and will repair it, but only for cars sent to certain dealerships. This should be fixed on all 2005 crossfires. The vehicle is now undriveable and has to have the entire top replaced.

The rear window glass on the roadster has separated from the roof lining. I have been told that it can not be repaired only replaced. This presents a safety hazard when the adhesive fails completely and the glass falls out on a roadway or turns into a projectile inside the car while driving.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer but they refused to assist with the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure was reported to the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 69,000. The current mileage was 73,000.

The rear window in my 2005 Chrysler Crossfire roadster became unglued and will not stay in place; this makes the car unsafe to drive, as the window may come out at any time, string someone or causing an accident. This car was purchased in Nov 2008 with only 16,800 miles on it, and has been garage kept since. This is a known manufacturing defect, having affected dozens of these cars, as well as other Chrysler convertibles produced during that time. Chrysler has acknowledged the issue, but will only repair vehicles delivered to specific southern states, no matter where you live, bought the car, etc.

The rear window is separating for the convertible top..reading on line it seems to be a very common problem with this year vehicle. I called Chrysler like many other people and they are not will to do anything to correct the problem..again many, many people are have the exact issue with the car and Chrysler is no help.

The rear adhesive on my 2005 Chrysler Crossfire roadsters rear window, that holds it to the soft top convertible, has begun to detach. I have called Chrysler about the issue and they explained that my vehicle was not covered by the warranty and they will not assist. This is a huge safety concern for me because the window could detach while driving and possibly cause harm and/or death to other drivers on the roadway. I found a service bulletin on the issue with a bulletin # sb-23035-11reva that recommends that the convertible top be inspected and/or replaced if defective. Chrysler is not helping at all with this serious safety issue to help me fix it and make my vehicle safe for myself, and the others around me. I am a member of crossfireforum.org and there are many other people with this issue that have either gotten it replaced by Chrysler for free, or paid a co-pay to help them fix the problem, but I was offered neither for this extremely unsafe issue my vehicle has. Please help me in any way that you can.

While driving at 15mph, I heard a rattle and noticed that the rear window had detached on three sides. This is a known safety issue to Chrysler and has been addressed by a tsb. However, this tsb is limited to only certain states. When I purchased my, I was not informed of its origin. My car was originally sold in a state not covered by the extended warranty included in the tsb dated 9/8/11. However, I bought and have driven the car in a state which is included in the extended warranty. I have owned the car for six years and it was one year old when purchased. All of the crossfires made in this year were made in germany. Chrysler has declined to honor the X31 extended warranty included in the 2011 tsb in my case. I do not understand how Chrysler can refuse to correct a known safety issue. I feel Chrysler should be ordered to recall all 2005 crossfire roadsters. I am asking the NHTSA to order such a recall.

The rear glass of my 2005 Chrysler Crossfire convertable detached from the top and fell out suddenly at 65 mph. The only thing that saved it from causing possible injuries was the rear glass heater wiring. The car is garaged and only driven maybe one day a week.
