Was driving on a quick errand just 2 hours prior to taking a flight when I noticed that my spoiler had gone up without me pushing the button. Also the eps/bas light came on. I tried to lower the spoiler with the control button but it did not go down. I parked and turned off my car to do my 2 minute errand and when I returned back and tried to start the key would not turn in the ignition. Tried to jiggle, remove key and try again several times, nothing worked.

Called my mechanic to have him arrange towing plus repair and hold vehicle until my return. He was able to correct issue, said was something to do with steering control panel. In the 2 months that I was gone, he has had to move the vehicle several times. The problem occurred a couple of times more. He tells me that I will need to replace this steering control panel "sooner rather than later" at a cost of about $2500 for the part! Has anyone else experienced this problem?
