Crossfire

  • miles
My car has 47,800 miles on it and is a convertible. Its a known problem among crossfire owners and it hasn't been resolved. The problem is the rear window is coming undone and just falls out. The dealerships won't fix it and auto repair shops want thousands of dollars. It's not only a quality issue but a HUGE safety issue as well. If that window was to fall while someone is driving the car it could injure them while they are driving or possibly fall onto the road and causing countless problems and injuries to the other motorists driving behind the car. Its not an issue of the owner of the car being negligent or miss using the vehicle, its a quality and safety issue.

Rear windsheild became unglued from my convertable top. Called Chrysler customer care. They set an appointment with a local dealer to check out. They told me nothing they can do for me to cover my problem. I was told that in 2005 they covered them but only that year. All tops are made the same reguardless of year. They told me only some states it was covered for 2005. I am now living in Florida, which is one of those states. I found forams online with plenty of complants about this problem. The dealer was in contact with Chrysler and was told it was not covered.
