The vehicle was not taken to a mechanic. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 157,000 and the current mileage was 159,000. While driving vehicle filled up with smoke from the dash area. All electrical components shut down. Vehcle was towed to the dealership. Owner was told that radio shorted out, and shut down entire electrical system. Radio/both wndows motors, and fuses were replaced. On March 13, 2000 the driver's side window failed to open, and vehicle smelled electrically hot.
