My back brake lights decided to go out. Nothing popped up on my dash telling me so, so I then got pulled over. Later taking it to the mechanic, he had no idea why they went out. It took three weeks for him to even figure out what the hell was wrong with it.

This car has broken down on me SO many times I have lost count. The electrical wire were crossed, which made the car completely shut down. Which I then had to tow to a different town to get fixed.

First problem was fog lights was draining car battery. Had wiring disconnected. A year or so later driving on freeway late at night and both back windows roll down by themselves and window switches would not work. Several months later windows wouldn't work or fan for air conditioner, and air bag light would come on. I replaced fuses and on very hot days problem arises again. Now headlights suddenly stopped working. I know this is all electrical related. What needs to be done?

I really don,t know when it started. but I do know even though I have thought it was fixed. it would start up again. My radio changes stations buy it self. My car lock and unlocks doors even if there is no keys in the ignition. the keys could be the house. I never know if my car is going to start. so I have to carry a jumper machine with me. never has m y service soon light come on. I have had electric diagnostic ran by my mechanic. nothing we try resolves this problem. no codes to help us. What can I do?

Never know when this problem will occur. First time I turned it off and back on again and it was fine/ Ignition switch seems hard to turn when it happens. Car will crank but there is no A/C,radio,turn signals(sometimes) or windows will not roll down. Can turn off and then turn back on and sometimes it will then be fine. Had igniton switch replaced and battery connectors. It was fine for about six weeks and now it happened again. Turned off and on again and it was fine. Took to dealership and it would not re-create. They are not able to diagnose problem.
Anybody else having this problem? I have 123,000 miles and not ready to get rid of car yet, but I need dependable transportation.

I have the car all apart. Dash off front of dash all off, Removing damaged headliner too. Removed the RKE unit right on top under the WHOLE dash pad. Started the car. Runs fine, AC works fine only it still won't turn off. Unplugging th fuse I guess for the winter. Removed the high side fan relay too. Low works fine and does not over heat when it is cool outside.I have questions now and wonder why the darned Forums did not tell anyone to do this???
I NEED a wiring diagram for the RKE. Power door locks won't work unless you push down the inside door locks or use a key on the front doors. Then only the front door each locks. The rears do not. We can live with that as the older cars were this way. But will anything else be affected? I JUST did this this week.
Your listening to an old retired instructor who taught this stuff. Drag raced for 18 years. But I never was really good with fixing computers! Unless I removed the hard drive and then replaced it with the exact same new component.
Our car has actual miles on its original clock 258,000 miles. Still gets 22-23 mpg. Still hums along at 70 mph. We have always changed the fluids at 3000 to 3500 miles religiously. We love our old car!!!!!! Just NOT Chrysler Corp. After Iaccoca retired it went to hell in a heartbeat. We'll NEVER buy another one! I do not care how cool they look or have a HEMI or not. And I OWNED many of those old hi perf. Dodges and Plymouths in my younger days....MANY.
