after replacing turn signal switch to fix draining battery- next day same problem dead (new) battery-dealer can't find problem, when at dealer the car starts. when in my garage the battery drains.
Update from Jan 7, 2013: dead battery caused by lightly applying brake when parking in garage. that is why dealer couldn't find a problem. the brake switch was defective- lightly applying brakes caused the circuit to activate but not turn on the brake lights .when charging the battery(when dead) the brake lights came on and to shut them off i had to push hard on the brake pedal. haven't had a problem since replacing the brake switch. 1-7-2013

my son-in-law says it's the nut behind the wheel, but i beg to differ! I turn off engine, the fog lamps won't go off so therefore the battery was constantly draining. So he came up with a temporary solution. Turn engine off, turn left turn signal on and lights go off. That worked for 3 mo's. Now it seems that it only works sometime. (like him) I am not in a good financial situation at this moment, but am wondering just what it would cost to repair and why it is doing this.

Even though I replaced the battery with a brand new one, the problem still exists and is getting worse. I noticed that the fog lights were staying on all the time, so I removed the fuse and that helped for a while, but now that doesn't help any more. I had one garage tell me that I needed a relay switch. When they tried to order it they found out it was on backorder. I moved out of state after that and when I took the car for an inspection and told the garage about the problem of the battery dying all the time, they found out that if the left signal was left on when the car was shut off, the battery stayed charged. That only worked for a few months and now if I don't use the car every day, the battery dies on me. I'm always having to have it jumped.
