PT Cruiser 2.4L

  • Manual transmission
  • 11,500 miles

I have been driving manual transmission vehicles for over 20 years and to have a cluth fail on a vehicle that is less than 2 years old with only 11,500 miles on it is rediculous. Chrysler claims it's a wearable item and they would not repair it under the warranty. I have owned five Chrysler products in the past and I doubt there will be another one in my future.

  • 40,000 miles

My clutch went out at less than 40000 miles and I purchased the extended warrenty. Unfortionatly Crysler says the clutch will go out like my brakes go out.. and i will have to repair the clutch as often. This gets expensive at $2000.00 every 40,000 miles! This is between service and the rent-a-car that is also not covered. What is the point of an extended warrenty up to 70,000 miles when it wont cover the clutch!
