PT Cruiser Limited 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,000 miles

Did have seat try to move forward, but not to the extent of what happened to some other person. The panel that holds the seat controls on drivers side has broken four times, Chrysler has not once paid for a replacement. The panel is hanging off the side of the seat, where it will remain until we sell vehicle. My wife hates the seats in the vehicle (they stain very easily too). A friend has a older PT Cruiser, the seat are much better in it. Wish there was replacement seats to go in my vehicle.

I have tried to fix this multiple times by pushing the plastic tabs back in, but it continues to pop out. Is there a permanent fix to this?

My neighborhood Chrysler dealer shut the doors in September. Have to drive 30+miles and wait for over an hour just to CHECK IN with the dealer. Takes several trips to complete any repairs.

I consider this poor work when this part was designed. I paid 26.000 for this car and it is falling apart like a dollar watch. Very unhappy with the car . Each time this breaks i consider it a safety hazard as wires are exposed.

Update from Mar 9, 2010: Seat panel has broken for the fourth time and Chrysler does not seem to care. I was told weight was breaking the seat panel. No one that drives the car is heavy enough to break this. It is poor workmanship. I made a complaint to Chrysler after the man at the local dealer made that comment. I will be seeking a lawyer.
