PT Cruiser SW V4

  • Manual transmission
  • 38,264 miles

Three days after I purchased my Chrysler 2007 PT Cruiser, I accidently ran over some flat wooden crates someone spilled on the Interstate I could not change lanes to avoid. I blew a flat tire on the passenger side on the front-end and damaged the bumper. My head hit the ceiling several times as I maneuvered off the Interstate to the right shoulder. I called the Highway Patrol and got my husband to come and change the tire. We drove the car to the body shop, filed a claim to my insurance. I am still having a complaint with repairs from the body shop I found out this body shop did not tell me they put on used parts instead of new parts from the manufacturer to repair my car. It kept pulling to the right and made noises when I turned corners. When the body shop manager said they couldn't find a problem with my complaint I took it to another shop where they properly diagnosed the suspension problem that cost me an additional $1,100 that the insurance would not cover. I reported the problem to Chrysler. They said since I no longer have warranty coverage with them they would post my complaint listing this body shop and the complaint for three years. I still plan to file in Small Claim s Court to see if I can get a judgment to get my money back. Beware of the parts a body shop uses for repairs and get your approval.
