I have just had the 5th shifter cable installed in the last 5 months. this was by 3 different shops. over $700 for this and am told this will not be warranteed. what do I do?

Gear selector cable was broken so you couldn't change gears at all. Had it put in the shop and the cost was $360.00 luckily it was under warranty. Will never buy a pt cruiser again
