Emergency brake release lever keeps braking. 3 times for me over the years. I see many replacement parts being sold on ebay. I've been driving for 60 years and never had a car where this happens. Check Chrysler records to see how many replacement release levers sold. Is this normal" when broken, cannot release and possibly not correctly use emergency brake. Also there is this steel rod and broken lever dangling into drivers feet. Problem is design of lever. It has two thin sides that pivot on something in the car. On Wednesday night (13 July 16), SE Michigan had severe thunderstorms and street flooding. I drove through this for at least 6 miles. The next morning as I was leaving for work, I got into the car, buckled my seat belt and put the car into reverse. There was a loud "crunching" noise but no movement. I put the car in park, got out to see if there was anything behind the car to make that noise but there wasn't. I got back in the car, buckled up, put the car's gear into reverse again. No movement, but an incredibly loud screechy, whiny noise could be heard 4 townhouses away. I barely tapped the accelerator and the car shot backwards out of the space, across the lot, up over a curb, through a flower bed, taking out a large, wooden sign and stopping only when the vehicle crashed into a tree. No air bags deployed at all. Police and emts were called to the scene. I was transferred by ambulance to a local hospital. I am not familiar with the vehicle's systems, but I would think this was a throttle issue. For the few seconds the car was moving in reverse, I was stomping on the brake pedal. The brakes were "stiff" and the pedal would only go half way to the floorboards. Witnesses stated the car shot out of the parking space "like a bullet" and/or "like a rocket" and that there was no way to stop the car at that speed.

Husband took car in to have motor mounts fixed. Have been bad since we bought the car, on 1/28/12. Along with a lot of other issues we didn't understand. Ac stopped working. Stalled while driving 55 mph., always shook after a certain speed, electrical, car jerked forward at a stop, tire pressure always read 2-3 tires low even after having new tires put on and aligned. Defog never worked. Weird sound in front of suspension, power train module, etc., etc. But the worst of all is when we tried to have the motor mounts fixed back in December. Car guy fixed motor mounts, husband drove car home, later that night went with kids for ice cream, came out and car would not start. Had it towed back, worked on it forever could not figure out, then had it towed again 2 weeks later, to another shop, where they said the car was done! the engine cradle was so rusted that they wouldn't even let us take the car, because it was so bad! not sure if I am under the extended warranty, but would hope that Chrysler takes care of all the people, who have endured all of these problems, and expenses associated with all! before someone gets really really hurt, dies, or kills someone else!

All of the dash lights, ABS, brake, interior lights, headlights have been flickering for a solid 3 days. I was driving at night on a non-lit stretch of road when all my lights went out, inside and out with a car approaching from the other direction. I tried to use my high beams and they were out too. I had my children and had to pull over. I have read reviews and this seems to be a huge problem with these cars yet no recall" why" this is so dangerous! this is my main vehicle I drive for work and with my family. I know am scared to drive it and what people have stated its hard and expensive to fix!

The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. While driving approximately 30 mph, the contact attempted to engage the brakes and the vehicle jerked forward. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.

I was driving with my mother and my three kids in the car and while I was driving a strut rod (metal pole) came thru my hood so I have a hole in the hood of my car with a metal pole sticking out.. never seen nothing like it..the auto mechanic said it is dangerous we could have been killed.. didn't even realize my back brake cylinder is leaking fluid brakes went down to the floor....
