Pacifica 4WD 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles
The front rotors on my 2004 chrusler Pacifica are in need of "turning" again for the second time. The front rotors were first turned by Chrysler in January 2006 at roughly 40000 miles, but need turning again now at near 50000 miles. This, to me, is indicative of a weakness in the design of the brake system.

Pacifica 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,185 miles
2004 Chrysler Pacifica - at 31185 miles the vehicle had a cracked rotor. The rear passenger side rotor is close to disintegrating, though the vehicle was maintained per factory schedule every 3000 miles at a 5 star Chrysler dealership. This could have easily resulted in a total brake failure, risking the life of my family. Chrysler does not provide any goodwill coverage for what is clearly a supplier issue. The rotor is cracked in several areas but it is far from being worn.

I have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica AWD, currently has 50,000 miles. We have had problems since we drove it off the lot. Time after time we were told there were no codes signifying any problems, and they could never duplicate the noises we were experiencing. Climate control screen went out, this was replaced. Message display went out, unable to see safety warnings, compass, menu display stalling when turning at slow speeds popping and clunking noises when turning slowly load clanging noise when shifting from park to reverse, sounds like we ran over a large metal object. Leaks on driver side when raining warped rotors at 35,000 miles fuel gauge needle will plunge from F to E when there is a least half tank of gas. I have taken the car in on numerous occasions, they can never duplicate the problem noises to diagnose or fix.

Brakes on Chrysler are defective. This is known by Chrysler at they warrant the car for 36K butthe brakes (rotors, pads, linings and drums) are only covered for 12K. It is obvcious Chrysler knows they are no good thus the short warranty. If there were any good they should last for 50K or more. Vehicle only has 26K.
