Bought Pacifica in August. While on Vacation, vehicle dropped from 1/2 tank to empty, and Car stalled 20 miles from nearest town (Out of gas) w/1/2 tank. Ran for 5 months keeping fuel above 1/2 tank. Problem started occuring just above 1/2 tank so I brought to shop. Chrysler dealer recommended to shop to change both fuel pumps. Picked vehicle up, did not even make it home (5 miles), and tank dropped to empty again. Returned to shop. Shop referred to local dealer to have computer flashed (dealer worked on for 4 hours), and told me their computers could not flash, it must have been completed already. Shop took back, changed all hosing, and vent tubes. Wife picked up, and once again did not make it home before dropped to empty. Returned to shop. Shop replaced transfer pump, vehicle worked for 3 days, before problem occurred again. Shop had to come out with gas can, and put gas in to return vehicle to shop. Shop replaced fuel tank, had vehicle for 1 week, and during testing phase, problem recurred. Vehicle is currently at shop still, and there appears to be no corrections for this problem. All venting filters have been changed. When system works properly, vehicle will accept fuel properly, when system fails, it takes approximately 15 minutes to put in $20 in fuel. Very frustrated that Chrysler hasn't taken responsibility for a problem that persists with this vehicle. It apparently is not just a problem with my Pacifica, it is prevalent in all Pacifica's from this time period. Was always reluctant to puchase Chryslers/Dodges, but now know I will never buy another.. Will sell immediately if fix is found!!
