A-frame on car has rusted out which at any time could snap cause the transmission and engine to drop which will cause the right passenger wheel axle and bearing to break and snap off which is a hazard. Also emergency parking break has rusted out of nowhere and fell into the drum of back wheel and rubs causing a hazard and loud noise., Chrysler could not explain why either one of these things happened when neither are being used and the car was purchased certified new used from dealer 5yers ago. All of this was discovered while driving and I heard a snap and a rattling sound while driving and decided to take it to a shop and they found the bigger problem.

My ABS light comes on constantly whether I'm pressing the gas or applying the brakes. When I'm driving in town and try to stop, the brakes get real spongy. They start shaking and grinding and I'm not able to stop. I've had to use the emergency brake to avoid accidents. It happens almost daily. The car has under 100,000 miles.

Traveling at 35 - 40 mph and cars came to a stop and no matter how hard I pushed the brakes, the car would not stop. Steering wheel and under steering wheel airbags deployed, burning my shin. Upon starting the car at the body shop, the dashboard caught on fire due to the airbag modular. Fire destroyed my vehicle.

The ABS system is malfunctioning. I have had new rotors, new calipers and new pads put on the car. The ABS light continues to go on & off. When braking it intermittently fails to brake appropriately. It either brakes with the brake pedal not catching properly or it doesn't brake at the correct time. It is slow to respond to pressure on the brake pedal. Last week the power steering stopped working when I braked and was trying to turn left onto another road. It started working again after about 10-15 seconds.

The ABS braking system seems to have a mind of its own and from time to time the brake pedal will go almost all the way to the floor and you can hear the ABS system doing something, but it barely stops the car in time. This has happened on a couple of occasions. You just never know. We are fearful of what could happen in the future.

I had the brakes repaired in 2012; the next month the ABS light came on and the sensor was replaced. Ten months later, the sensor light came on again. I was told it was insignificant, that the brakes are fine. In the fall of 2013, I had the car towed to a shop because it tried to accelerate while I was pressing the brakes. I spent over $800 having a bunch of codes cleared with the transmission and other things. The engine light was off for a few days but came back on. There was an error that read gas cap. I replaced the gas cap but the engine light remains on. In March 2014 the brake light came on, I was told that I needed to replace the calibers but later was told that I didn't. I had someone else to check and they said that I needed new front brakes. I had those replaced. On 4/7/2014, I was leaving the parking garage at the doctor's office and the gas pedal was stuck. Lucky for me it was on a downhill slope and I was able to stop at the stop sign and put the car in park and press the accelerator to unstick it. Today, April 13, 2014 the brake light is back on and there is a noise in the frontend. I love my car but it just does not feel safe to drive.

ABS warning light has been on for over a year. It comes on within 3 minutes of driving, which disengages my anti-lock brakes. Mechanic advised I get my ABS sensors replaced, but it's both very expensive and was told that it will probably happen again in no time since this is a recurring issue with Pacificas. This model must be recalled since the integrity of my braking system is compromised and puts myself and the safety of my family at risk.

I will hear a chime and look to see why and the ABS light will be on. Then when I hit the brakes sometimes they feel fine other times they feel spongy. I have read where this is a ongoing problem with Pacificas. There needs to be a recall and Chrysler needs to pay for the repairs.

The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was not taken to have the failure diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 86,500.

Parking brake lining became completely unbonded from parking brake shoe. We stopped driving the vehicle until it could be diagnosed and repaired. Safety implications unknown. The mechanic who repaired the problem said he had seen a similar case where the ABS sensor was damaged/disabled.

The ABS light on my vehicle continues to come on. I've spoken with other people who own the same vehicle who has the same issues. The brakes on the vehicle were fixed less than two months ago and there should not be a reason for this to come one.

This is an extremely serious matter that they need to address by Chrysler and the NHTSA immediately. They need recall all of these vehicles before me or my family members or some innocent people are killed due to this defective braking issue. My initial date that this started happening was about a year ago. Although as of the end of 2011 the brake failure began to happen more frequently. I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica which has about 100,000 miles on the vehicle. The ABS light comes on and goes off all the time. Sometimes it stays on for long periods of time as well and does not reset even after turning the car off. I loose breaking power when this happens as it feels like the brakes are shaking, grabbing, slipping and grinding. It now takes greater distance to stop my vehicle. The feeling is very much life threatening to me and my family as if we are being dragged to our death. It is not a safe feeling, I have to drive my children to and from their activities and school. A complete brake failure happened today 5/20/12 while I was driving with my kids and I almost had a head on collision. I am afraid to drive this vehicle. I do not know if it will actually stop when I apply the brake. I have been researching the problem and have found dozens of others that are having the same problem with their ABS light. Many are having speed sensors replaced without fixing the problem others are being told that they need brakes and other electronic components. Chrysler is ignoring the problem and that brakes failure is a serious problem. God please, I do not want to end up having another accident with them in the car as it happened today one today. It really concerns me that there has not been a recall on this vehicle yet. I am pleading to please, please, please, take this problem seriously and to save lives of these many owners and families of the 2006 Pacifica.
