The battery light came on for a second time. We could not figure out what was going on. When we restarted the vehicle the light did not come back on. There were no other issued noted at this time. It was fine for about a week.

The battery light came on while we were on our way to the store. We parked and went into the store and when we restarted the vehicle the light did not come back on until we had been driving for a little while. The vehicle was still running fine, no loss of power, did not stall, etc.

While driving to work this morning, the battery light came on again. I turned off the headlights, radio and A/C.
A few minutes later I had to turn on my for lights due to foggy conditions. A few minutes after that, the ABS lights came on and the transmission started sounding like it was straining. The vehicle was losing power so I pulled over into shoulder. I turned of the fog lights and after a few minutes the ABS light went off and the vehicle was running better. I was about a mile from work so I continued to my exit. When I got to work, I shut the vehicle off. I then restarted it and the battery light did not turn on. I will see what happens when I'm on my way home.
The battery has been replaced twice in two years, the second time the alternator was bad and was replaced also. When the alternator was bad the last time, we actually thought that the transmission was shot because it wouldn't shift. The check engine light and ABS light came on at that time but the battery light never did. My husband got a diagnostic code and when I looked it up I found out that a lot of people were replacing their transmissions and the problem was not fixed. After digging a little bit more, I found others who had the same issue and figured out it was the alternator, not the transmission. I called my husband and told him to check alternator before sinking money needlessly into a transmission. Turns out that it was bad and once it was replaced the issued was resolved.
Update from Sep 21, 2017: After the vehicle was towed to a different dealership, they called the following day to say that they charged the battery and could not get the issue to duplicate (of course). We instructed them to keep the vehicle and put some miles on it in until it duplicated. They called 2 days later and said that they got it to duplicate but couldn't figure out what the cause was. They tested the battery and alternator and they appeared to be fine. We told them the issues we noticed while driving, so they load tested the alternator. It turns out that the alternator was not operating properly while driving. This time we had a Mopar alternator installed instead of an aftermarket one.
