inoperative drivers high beam with power to the plug

Replaced the drivers bulb, won't light, tried it in the passenger side, it worked. Checked the ground polarity in the drivers light socket, all grounded. With high beam up, power is available at the light socket. There are NO fuses indicated or available for high beams. The burned out bulb was black inside. Will the manufactures installed vehicle computer ascertain the problem ?If so where do I go with the least expense.

I like my Pacifica very much and desire to continue driving it for a much longer time.I just replaced my rear hatch wiper motor as the very first mechanical concern I have had. I usually get in excess of 300,000 miles per vehicle and this Pacifica is heading in that direction..But I really need to see at night..don't you think ?

The problems I had with the headlights. The head lights flashing off and on flickering while driving. The low beam lights blew out while I was driving from work. I had to drive with my flashers on and High beam lights on to the nearest store. I had to call for some one to come pick me up from the store and come back to fix the lights. The high beam lights blew out the next day, I had to get them fixed that night to be able to drive home from work. That did not fix the problem the lights still flicker off and on. Mechanic tested the lights and did not find the problem. LOW AND HIGH BEAM LIGHTS STILL FLICKER OFF AND ON WHEN DRIVING !

The headlights burn out every 6-8 months. One time we replaced both after 4 months. Chrysler dealership did not detect a short in fuse/wiring and I wear gloves when replacing bulbs....what gives? I spend $9.99 per bulb each time.
