Took my car in to the dealership because the battery keeps dying and my alarm goes off for no reason. The radio was on but the key was not in the ignition and the car was locked. Strange things have been happening when the key isn't is the ignition. My battery died one night so I got it jumped again and immediately the check engine light was on. So I had to wait til Monday to take it to the dealership to have them reset it.
They did that but when I went to start my car it wouldn't start. Something felt weird in the ignition. It didn't make the clicks it usually would and it felt strange to turn. Something wasn't right. So I told the mechanic and he said that he also agreed that something didn't feel right in the ignition. It still wouldn't start. Apparently now my entire ignition is broke down to the cylinder I guess. I'm not sure because I know nothing about cars but this has never happened before.
The dealership said they have never seen this happen before as well. I would like someone to contact me about this problem. I feel it's nothing I did and out of my control. How does this happen?????? I'm worried that if this broke while I was driving what would have happened to me and my 2 year old baby? A severe car crash??
