07 Chrysler motor mounts defective.
- Austin, TX, USA
Purchased a used 2007 Chrysler Pacifica (6-speed auto) from Chrysler dealer with around 40K miles. Immediately noticed that the transmission shift points were not what they should be. There were very noticeable bangs when the car shifted gear. Returned car to dealer who stated that there was a service bulletin to reflash shift points. The work was completed and car appeared to shift more normally but still felt some good bumps when shifting. Took car to dealer for second service trip and they stated that motor mounts needed replaced. I searched the internet and found an unending list of identical problems. The motor mounts have failed from 2004 till the present. Something needs to be done about this.

We purchased a 2007 Pacifica brand new and are having motor mount issues after 30,000 miles. When we took the vehicle in and notified the dealer, they stated that the motor mounts are bad and that we'd have to take the car to the Chrysler dealer from whom we purchased the car. Unfortunately, they have since gone out of business. There are numerous consumers with the same motor mount issue on their Chrysler Pacificas at this link: www.topix.com/forum/autos/Chrysler-Pacifica/tnpd19hvinl2spnh1/P4#lastpost. Please help us.

I purchased a '07 Chrysler Pacifica in February. I've had nothing but problems with the car. I had to have the motor mount replaced. I had problems with it shuttering and acting as though it doesn't shift between 30-35 mph. I've had the torque converter replaced on it as well. After that I've had to have the tie rods replaced, and the struts. Since I've noticed that almost everyone is having the torque converter and motor mount problems as well as other Chrysler vehicles this should be addressed. Since I've had the torque converter removed while it was still in shop I get my car back and when you let go of the steering wheel it veers completely to the left. Now the dealership is trying to clean their hands and saying it's a defect with the car; they have to contact Chrysler. Hello-it didn't do this before I took it in and now it is since they've 'fixed' it. It's actually unbelievable since so many car manufacturers are failing you'd think they'd recall this problem, fix it and keep what reputation they have left.
