We had a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Touring AWD that caught fire under the hood for no apparent reason. Fortunately my 2yr old daughter and I got out of the car in enough time. We had the fire department called and they had to put out the fire which totaled the vehicle as well as $5,000 damage to the building it was parked at. By the National Highway of Safety there are 51,000 vehicles still on the road that this can happen to. Chrysler reported back 8 months ago that this problem was fixed when it first started. But apparently not. Chrysler does not want to take ownership in this incident reporting that it is our fault. Even though we have the report from the fire department as well as the investigator from our insurance saying it was the steering fluid leak. We are now having to fight Chrysler for something that Was Never Our Fault! I will NEVER buy a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or Mercedes!

I had a 2005 Chrysler pacifica last year got into a fire on the way to Newark nj
I like Chrysler so much and I bought another 2007 Chrysler pacifica coming from cape cod mass
It got into a fire again..
When the car stop in highway I was able to pull aside in the road and open the hood and that was a fire from the bottom of the engine on top the axle.
Both Chrysler fires started from the same location.
