The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica. While traveling 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly downshifted without warning. Moments later the contact noticed the vehicle would suddenly surge forward abnormally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The current and the failure mileage was 70,000. Updated 06/01/12
