I bought a new 2017 Pacifica, and the backup camera went dim about 24000 miles. I turned brightness controls all the way up but it did not help. Dealer said nothing wrong and there were no updates available for my Uconnect 5.
Took to different dealer before 3 year warranty ran out. They told me the same thing.

The first day I bought my Pacifica Limited, I got home and backed into the garage and the backup camera went completely black. The yellow and green lines were the only thing visible. I had the garage door wide open and I have the ceiling lights on. So there was plenty light coming into the garage, but backup camera was black. I checked all settings and nothing worked. I called dealer and they said they never heard of this before. But I do have an appointment for them to check it on Monday. (Today is Friday). Will update this after the dealer checks it out. (I previously had a Jeep Grand Cherokee with the backup camera and it worked perfectly when backing into garage, even in the night).

Right after 50,000-mile warranty ended, the backup camera went dim. Cannot adjust brightness. It is useless.
