The vehicle was taken to the island Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealer (1239 hylan blvd, staten island, NY 10305, 718-408-8968) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was operating as designed. However, when the contact placed a straw on the plastic covering while the door was locked, the plastic crushed the straw. The dealer kept the vehicle for further investigation. The failure was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,400.
