Blown head gasket 2017 chrysler pacifica 82000 miles. Spark plugs replaced. All are black with heavy carbon buildup. Check engine light went on as did the engine stop start warning. We have 2017 Chrysler pacifica there's 96miles on it that my drives to work, after she came back from work this morning I took the car key so i can go to the car wash when started the car i notice the was shaking and there was a check engine light, so i scan the car there was three code on the car. P0420, P0303 and P0203. I checked online for the meaning. I saw that everyone with the same car had the same issue. And before this issue I been noticing low coolant so I always top up the coolant. I noticed everyone say is the head gasket that went bad. Base on all the information and the complaints people made regarding this code i don't need to take it to a dealership for diagnostic, I am sure it is the engine head gasket that's bad.

While driving on the highway, our car started to make a jerk, like it was having trouble shifting gears, which is weird because we were driving through Kansas and the road was smooth and flat. Then suddenly the car lost power, but did not turn off. Pressing the accelerator did nothing. We turned on the emergency flashers and pulled over to the shoulder, shifted into park and then turned the car off. We waited a few moments then restarted, everything appeared fine. We started to accelerate and merge back into the highway when it started to happen again. This time, our dash reported a message of "shift into p to start." We again pulled over, waited even longer, and restarted again. After about 5 miles, it did it again. After several occurrences of this, we eventually looked to have it towed to the nearest dealership. However, now it also has trouble starting. This is incredibly concerning, losing power going 75mph.

I turned on the vehicle cold in the morning and it started shaking violently. The check engine light came on with a code of P0303, which indicates a cylinder 3 misfire. We took the vehicle to the Chrysler dealership in our area and they said there was nothing they could find. The dealership cleared the codes and the check engine light didn't come back on for another week or so. Then the same thing happened again. Cold start, with violent shaking. Check engine light came back on and same engine code P0303.

The van stalls and completely turns off while coming to a stop, while stopped, and while accelerating from a stopped position. I have to wait a few seconds, then push the brake and the ignition switch to restart the van. The van acts as if it's been parked. This has happened 6 times in the last four days.

As soon as I stopped at a light, the entire car shut off on its own. No lights, no engine. It took about 45 seconds for lights to come back on. I was able to restart the car. When restarted, the electronic throttle indicator light was on and the car was jerky to drive. I cut the car back off and on and it drove normally. The engine has cut off 3 other times stopped at red lights, but those times, the lights stayed on. I was able to immediately turn the engine back on. I believe there is a major electrical issue happening. I have taken the car to a dealership and an independent mechanic. No one can find out what is wrong because they couldn-??t mimic the problem.

The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the temperature gauge fluctuated between hot(H) and normal(N). In addition, the vehicle hesitated upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The contact discovered that the coolant level remained low. The e vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where leaks were discovered in the oil housing and the radiator. The contact's husband replaced the spark plugs; however, the failure remained. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the mechanic discovered a misfire in cylinder #3. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 81,000.

I purchased 2017 Chrysler Pacifica in 2021, I started having issues my vehicle after my 30 day warranty expired it seemed on and off at times now more noticealbe the START/STOP feature failed to work properly. The vehicle stalled when the brake pedal was released I had to restart the vehicle. The contact disabled the START/STOP feature. Additionally, while driving at night in the rain the vehicle acted up or started to blow hot air from the AC unit at 75 degrees with out the option to change it only way to restart was to turn on and off the vehicle. I also had problems with the coolant being low, and coolant was added. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the check engine and coolant lights were illuminated. The battery was faulty, and the START/STOP feature was inoperable. A pressure test was performed however, the mechanic was unable to locate a coolant leak. The vehicle was taken to two mechanics EGR cooler valve was cracked and my engine was damaged as well as the pistons. The vehicle had to have the whole engine replaced which was an expensive expense I had to pay out of pocket, the dealer did not cover the damage. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 104, 000 or so. I still do not feel safe using this vehicle it is my family vehicle, please advised. I have invoices but not at the moment I had to replace the engine, the battery, the coolant container, and the radiator for a total amount of about $5000

Engine 3.6l non-hybrid has bad head gaskets/heads causing misfire and dangerous potential for vapor lock and engine failure. This is a known issue and there is a recall for the exact same vechile and engine up to 2016. Mine is a 2017 so its not covered in the recall for the exact same condition with the exact same engine. Spoke to manufacturer today they looked at offering some assistance in the price to fix the known issue, unfortunatley I bought the car used (paid over $25,000 in 2018) due to this the manufacturer can not assist in anyway. This is a known issue that is well documneted online by thousands of upset customers. I have no choice but to pay an exorbitant amount to have it fixed before it vapor locks going down the road and hurts my family.
