After following given instructions my radio uconnect system has become nonfunctional I have been told by the manufacturer I have to wait for an update or a fix. It has been over a week already...updated 10/25/17 updated 10/27/2017

While driving on a city street at about 35mph the engine stalled. The dashboard alarm was beeping and "D" was flashing. I was able to pull over and stop and the dash displayed the message - put in "P" to start engine -. car did not start the first time I tried, the second time it started. Thankful this dangerous incident did not occur while in heavy traffic or on a interstate....updated 10/30/17 updated 11/06/2017

This car has had multiple stalls, whereas when driving, the engine will shut down and steering be affected. This has happened in the middle of an intersection with my children in the car. There are no warning signs that this will happen, the car just suddenly becomes inoperable. You have to place in park for 30 seconds and then restart the car. This car is extremely dangerous to drive. The diagnostic is a fuel pressure sensor, but further research indicates this is a widespread problem that Chrysler may be aware of...updated 10/25/17

While stopped, the vehicle lost power and displayed a message "vehicle must be in park to shift" or something along those lines. Luckily the vehicle was stopped and not moving when it lost power. This is very serious because all propulsion from the vehicle was lost. The car did restart after it was shifted into P and the start button was pushed (with a foot on the brake). Chrysler has known about this issue for months now via the online forum discussing the issue and appears to be doing nothing about it proactively and is certainly not communicating about the issue with its customers.....updated 11/03/17 updated 11/07/2017

Had the car for 23 hours. Less than 5000 miles. After pulling the car to the end of the driveway and 3/4 of the way into our road it began to shake violently, so much so that one of our daughters burst in to tears (the one that never cries). The shaking lasted some time, along with grinding noises. The car flashed a dozen different codes as well as indicating that the parking break was not available. The van was completely dead in the road with five children inside and cars having to swerve around to make it through the nearly blocked road. The van would not respond to restarting in any way. We quickly tried to remove all five kids as safely as possible. After calling our dealership they told us we needed to call Chrysler service and towing. After waiting over an hour, with the car in the middle of the road, the tow truck arrived. The tow truck driver was able to replicate the violent shaking and stated that someone "really screwed something up with this van." He could not put the van in neutral because of the malfunctions and had to use slides to get it on top of the tow truck. We had been heading to the freeway and I can only imagine what would have happened to our family if this had died on the freeway with an 18 wheeler behind us. We easily could have all been killed. Where we live, the large trucks fill the freeway and from other stories we've been reading about failure of Chrysler Pacifica hybrids (and there are a lot of them) vans are dying in the middle of roads; a potentially deadly problem. Chrysler dealership has no idea what's wrong or how to fix it. Corporate is not returning calls

Its new Pacifica van with safety package. It stopped suddenly in the middle of the road as if parking break is applied, it showed a number of warnings including parking break malfunction, transmission issue, traction control issue. I put flashers on, tried to stop and start the vehicle, it did not not allow me to change gears to drive. It is very dangerous if the same issue happens on a highway, this can cause serious collision, more dangerous for a mini van carrying family

I have noticed several others complaining about they front collision warning not working. I have tried several times to get mine to go off at the different setting. I have driven other vehicles with this feature and so far the Pacifica has not acted like those. My wife said it has went off twice on her and she really could tell why. I have also so had the issue with the passenger side rear door grinding from day one. Today when we got our first oil change they told us the balling bearing was busted and we have to take it back to get it replaced tomorrow. The rain sensing wiper feature does not work, and it is turned on in the uconnect settings. Also, after about a month of ownership I noticed that the beep on the rear gate as it closed changed to a higher pitched more annoying sound, but it still works.

The power sliding side doors make a terrible grinding noise when opening & closing. We've owned the vehicle 4 days. First the right side door started in the morning, the same day in the afternoon the left side door started. The service dealer checked it and commented that the bearings might have broken in the upper tract. They made an appointment to repair. Also the bluetooth will not connect. It is very glitchy. It sometimes sees the phone, but it can not be used at all and the phone states to 'make sure nearby device is on, connection was lost'. the car bluetooth settings won't forget the device easily to retry. Two separate phone calls to uconnect service assistance and it still would not work even after two different 'soft resets' as directed by service. 4 different smartphones we're tried and even an ipod touch. All of which had no problem connecting to other bluetooth devices. Both issues are scheduled to be repaired...frustrating issues for a brand new vehicle.

My concern is with Chrysler's fcw system. The system does not work as described in their owner's manual both in city and highway driving. Specifically it does not detect, no matter the selectable settings, that my vehicle is approaching a car ahead dangerously. The system is supposed to warn with sound, display, and brake nudge. According to Chrysler, the system will only work as described if I am approaching the vehicle head unsafely with my foot still pressing the gas. However, even with my foot still pressing the gas peddle, the system will not respond with any of the warnings. I have reported my concern to the dealer and Chrysler customer service. Chrysler customer service and the dealer said that they cannot do anything about my complaint since there are no trouble service codes logged in the vehicle. The acc system works as described in the owner's manual. The fcw system uses many of the acc system without the auto braking feature. The fcw system should work, but it doesn't. the system in my vehicle is useless since it does not do what it is intended to do which is to mitigate a collision by alerting an inattentive driver.

Back-up camera issue - when first starting the car, the rear view camera remains black (or very fuzzy) only reading "check entire surroundings." I've only had it happen after I first start the car in the morning, usually when it's dark outside. It's as if it isn't adjusting to the lighting outside. Either way, obviously I can use my mirrors, but there is a safety issue in that if it's installed, it should work properly.
- Odenton, MD, USA
When moving from very light to very dark, or very dark to very light, the cameras on the car turn black, making it impossible to see anything. There could be a person behind you and you'd have no idea. Incredibly dangerous.

Backup camera issue: When entering or exiting garage in reverse during daylight hours (or any area with a moderate change in lighting) the default camera view (top[360]& rear) is displayed. The rear camera does not adjust to the lower light contrast and the image displayed is all black, you cannot see a thing (see picture attached). This could lead to someone or something getting run over. A serious safety issue.
