The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the middle passenger-??s side captain seat became inoperable. The contact stated the back rest failed to remain locked in place. The contact stated that seat fell forward, raised up and unlocked before sliding forward and collapsing. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was informed by the dealer that a fix was not available for the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 81,000.
