Sebring 2.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 135,000 miles

I bought a 1998 Chrysler Sebring soon as I got out of the army trying to support my country's auto industry and ever since I got it nothing but problems. But I have to say the biggest one was the tranny. It started one day out the blue when it would jump every time I changed gears and the jumping would just get worst and worst to the point I needed new motor mounts after a day or 2. It took 5 second each to change gears.

Not all American car companies are bad, just Chrysler. They cannot not make good small cars

Sebring Convertible LX

  • 47,000 miles

Bought the car in March 2002, Replaced transmission in June 2002, Replaced transmission in June 2004. Lo and behold transmisison has gone again. Can't afford to replace it, as the warranty has now run out. Still owe $4600 on it. Guess, I have to pay our for a vehicle that is sitting in my drive way not going anywhere. Used to love my car, it was my dream car. Still looks pretty but is totally useless, a bit like a dumb blonde. Have since heard that between 96 and 2000 Chrysler made really bad cars. Fat lot of good that is to me now though.
