Sebring LX 2.7L

My beef is the waterpump, an 8 HOUR JOB!!! costing more than $1000 w/ parts and gaskets. It's located next to the timing chain, requiring a ridiculous amount of disassemble to access. I consider it a right-off. Engineers should have to work on the cars they design, we'd have far fewer issues like these. My Sebring has put up with alot of neglect, I've run on very low oil for extended periods (oblivious) and after a change or two it runs like new again. This car isn't quite as bad as everyone says. I see alot of people have blown the motor, which is more than likely because they don't check they're oil, and dont want to admit it. Chryslers are oil burners (mainly 2.7L), it's common knowledge. But it's time to bring this laim horse to the glue factory!
