problem #2

Jul 112007

(reported on)

Sebring LXI

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

The problem started when the check engine light came on and stayed on. Then a "no bus" message on dash where odometer is. Shortly after the gauges stopped working and the air conditioner. Sometimes the car won't start. We've had the ECM, PCM, TCM, BCM and complete dashboard repaired. Still have the same problem and Chrysler will not make amends.

Sebring LXI 2.7

  • Automatic transmission
  • 72,000 miles

The check engine light will come on if your gas cap is not tight. Once you tighten the cap you will have the engine light on for a few miles, maybe through your next fillup, and it will readjust and go off. This is in the manual as a potential trouble but is easy to overlook as a fix.
