problem #1

Sebring LX 2.7L V6

Check engine light came on. The code was P1486. After many hours of searching for the problem, it was determined that the problem was the Leak Detection Pump of the EVAP system. From what I have read, it looks like this is merely an emission control device. I have not found anything about how it actually affects the car's performance. I didn't have this fixed, but it was ~$120 for them to diagnose the problem and they estimated the work to be about 3 hours plus the cost of the part. They would have to lower the fuel tank to access the LDP.

Has anyone mentioned that this car sucks?
