I firmly believe the Chrysler vehicles are engineered by monkeys. The things I see on this vehicle defy simple logic.
Anyway, so there the car was sitting in the driveway... with a nice red puddle under it. Popping the hood I have a look... the problem was clear... The L shaped tube/bracket on the top of the engine that connects to the upper radiator hose blew apart. Looking at the part its quite obvious why... the base of the part is simply glued together!!! Why a part that has to withstand high heat and pressure was just glued together is beyond me... The glued together piece looked like it exploded. I asked the Chrysler service manager about it and he had no answers.
The kicker is that the car has a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty, and stupid me even bought an extended warranty on top of that..... none of which covered a retardedly designed part.... which is not expensive by itself, but to replace it required removing the whole top of the intake manifold, which costs labor and replacement gaskets.
Ugh I really hate Chrysler/Dodge/Mercedes. They should be banned.
