To whom it may concern, on Thursday, May 13, 2015, at approx. 2:00 P.M., I was breaking to make a right turn onto another road when I noticed my car kept accelerating when my foot wasn't on the gas pedal. (there are no floor mats in the car). My boyfriend was sitting in the passenger seat. I had never experienced this in my life! I kept my foot on the brake and each time I let off the brake, the speed accelerated w/O my doing it. My boyfriend put the car in (N) & told me to pull over in the grass off the shoulder. He then turned off the ignition. (it was a mix of grass & mud). I needed assistance to get unstuck. Thankfully, I was able to get the car to stop before going into an intersection that was just ahead. With the car off, my boyfriend pumped the gas pedal aprox 3 times then started my car. The problem had stopped. I was very shaken up since realizing I we &/or others could've been killed because of this defect. I purchased this car on 4/2/15 from an individual. Please help me and others, by contacting the Chrysler corporation about this preventable matter of life & death. Thank you for your immediate attention!

I bought the car brand new, added the extended warranty and had several things go wrong. Just to name a few: Engine shut down without warning and had to be replaced when it was just over the 100,000 mile warranty even though oil changes and regular maintenance was done 3-4000 miles, transmission pan had metal shavings in it which resulted in poor performance, control arm had to be replaced after Chrysler dealership told me the problem was the motor mounts(I did not need the mounts replaced and the repair was not done under warranty), water pump & thermostat housing(was told both weren't covered and should have been), rear window defroster replaced and/or fixed three times, driver power window regulator replaced(glass had to be replaced because of damage from the regulator, which I paid), visor vanity light-part ordered but "too late" when tried to have it replaced(was not notified that part was in), dash lights-on & off, headlights replace several times, hub seal replaced, passenger seat adjust arm broken, lighter inoperative, check engine light on first month I had the car!

After driving off the lot with a new 2002 Chrysler Sebring lxi, consumer observed a noise from the lower drivers side and felt vibration from the steering column. The noise is a rattling noise that sounds like metal slapping or tapping against metal. This occurs regularly at high and low speeds once the engine reaches normal operations (after the car has been driving for a few minutes). The dealer has been notified three times and has not solved this problem. They resulted to saying that the noise is from a transaxle splash guard, but they tried to recreate the noise by pushing the splash guard against the transaxle, but the noise did not disappear.

While driving air bag warning light illuminated and stayed on the remainder of the time while vehicle was being operated. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. A rattling noise could be heard in the dash area. The consumer found a nut and notified the dealer. The dealer informed the consumer that the nut did not belong in the dash and they insulated the dash so no more noise could be heard. The consumer feels the nut came from something in the dash. The seat belt pre-tensioner was replaced three times. The transmission fluid began to leak. The dealer determined that the cooler line clamps became loose and caused the transmission fluid to leak.
