had the car 2 days and was already back to the dealer to replace the brakes(i bought it used) i see why it was traded in. the dealer had the nerve to ask if i was driving it rough or letting a teenager driver it cause of all the things i was experiencing right off the bat. Chrysler makes crap cars. i wont ever buy another one... so much for owning my dream car.

The brakes squealed bad about a week after I bought the thing. Had them replaced for $200 and they still squeal bad. There's no fix.

Bought this car used last week of June '07. Thought the squeaking was originally because of all the flooding and wet weather in Central Texas. Problem continued after weather cleared up. I've been told by my dealership that new brakes and parts are metal on metal and sometimes they just squeak... especially before they "warm-up". I don't buy that. Still looking for a solution to the squeaking.

I have spent 500. dollars trying to fix this problem. I have had no help from dealers. I have had new pads installed new rotors installed and nothing has helped. Is there anything I can do that will help this problem? It is very very annoying.

Brakes squeak loudly when braking. I have taken it back to the dealership three times and they continue to tell me there is nothing wrong with the back brakes. So, I decided to take it in to another shop and they responded the same thing and that it is brake dust that is causing the loud squeak. They said, they could change out the rear shoes for $170.00 bucks but couldn't guarantee that the noise would go away. It is very upsetting because this is a one year old vehicle and if I knew they were going to sell me a brand new vehicle that made squeaky noise I wouldn't of bought it!

Bought 2004 Sebring in January of 2009. Required and paid for new front brakes at start of May of 2009. Within a week the brakes began to squeak, but not often. Took back to brake shop and was informed " it's brake dust, they just do that, not a big deal". 3 weeks later brakes now SQUEAK and more often. Two more professional opinions - First one "I didn't here anything, I wouldn't worry about it" (Test driven with windows up and A/C on full - it was hot but Shheeeeeeeeeeesh). Second one - again with the "brake dust" and "not a real problem". Not only does this "brake dust" continue to sound off in any weather and under all road conditions, but it has managed to gradually increase the SQUEAKING in volume, frequency and duration. In my 35 years of driving, caring for and having cars fixed; this kind of squeaking situation was an indication of a brake problem.
In closing, it is A BIG DEAL, I do WORRY ABOUT IT, and I feel that it is A REAL PROBLEM.
