The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. While driving less than 10 mph and approaching a stop, the contact depressed the brake pedal to allow a pedestrian to cross. The vehicle continued to accelerate and she could hear the engine revving. The vehicle stopped, but hesitated as if it wanted to proceed forward. The incident occurred at least six times. The failure mileage was 20,500 and current mileage was 21,000. Updated 10/16/08 the consumer stated the brake and accelerator pedal were designed too close together. Updated 10/20/08.
