About These NHTSA Complaints:
The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
I own a 2007 Sebring. I have had the vehicle in a few times for a parking brake light that would come on and for the airbag light that would come on. The dealer was unable to find the source of the problem. While driving on the interstate, I hit a deer. Although the impact occurred while going 60 mph, the airbags did not deploy. Flames were coming out from under the hood and onto my windshield before I even got to the shoulder. I was forced to jump from the vehicle while it was still in motion, to escape the burning car.

I had the 2007 Chrysler Sebring for seven months, and on 6/26/2008 the car caught on fire. Then I received a recall the following week on a Tuesday but that was to late. Now the car was a total loss and I am out of a car. I just want someone to replace the car and let me cont to pay on it, so I will have a way to work and doctor appointments. Instead I still have the car on my credit and can not get another one. This was not my fault be they are treating me like I set the car on fire but it was due to the recall. My 6 year old son and I was in the car at the time but luckily we got out and was not hurt.
