The dealer hasn't been able to get the car to act up and cant find a problem with it. It stalled on the way home from the dealer , raido stays on lights stay on, wipers keep going , but its a bitch to steer or stop. does someone have to get hurt or worse before they find I fix for this issue ? who is liable if someone gets hurt over this?

I'm having problems with my 2008 chrysler sebring..I've had the car for almost a year and recently it started cutting off on me while i would be at a stop light or stop sign.i also had problems with the brakes had them done 3 times since i had the car.its been to the dealership and they cant seem to find a problem and since the car didn't turn off while the supervisor was driving he couldn't find a problem..what the hell is wrong with this company? chrysler i mean I'm reading all these same problems I'm having with my car but they don't have a solution to them or know how to fix them.if u ask me they built them they should know what the damn problem is its very frustrating because I'm still paying for this car and i love my car i just don't love the problems I'm having with it.they need to find out what the problem is and fix it since they created the chrysler sebring 2008 model.

The same thing has been happening to my 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. This is the third time my car has shut off on me. When it happens there is no warning sign, the light are still on the radio, windshield wipers are still going. This is dangerous, every time it happens I'm in traffic. The first time I had my kids in the car. After each time is happened I tried to remember if there was some type of clues that would help me to trouble shoot the issue. The one thing that all three times have in common with each other is that it was Raining.. The rain.....now all we need to do is find out what's the electrical issue. It has to be electrical....I hope they find a solution to this problem before someone is injured are worst..Please Help.. I'm in a love hate relationship with this car....

Update from Feb 22, 2013: STILL HAVE THE SAME ISSUES WITH MY CHRYSLER SEBRING CONVERTIBLE. I HAVE GIVEN UP TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY THE CAR IS SHUTTING OFF.AT ONE POINT AND TIME I LOVED MY CAR, NOW I CAN'T WAIT TO GET RID OF IT.THATS THE ONLY SOLUTION THAT I HAVE .

While idling the car will jump up to over 2500 rpm then drop and shut off. Has shut down while at a light as well. Took car to a local mechanic, he ran it and then went online to see what recalls existed and the one that seems to match up is Recall # 08V152000 - it has to do with extra connectors for the tire pressure monitoring system - these connectors corrode and can then cause other failures - quote "engine stalling could cause a crash without warning" I am taking the car in to the dealer tomorrow - they indicate that the recall for this car has already been repaired (it's my elderly dad's car) but I'm no so sure about that!

Had my 2008 Sebring convertible for only three years, had to replace the brakes, put new tires, replace the battery, and now the engine is shutting at stopping, oh how could I forget, the convertible top hooks in the cargo were glued together when I purchased the car from an auto dealer, Liccardi Dealer in Woodbridge NJ. Although I bought the car used with only 20,000 miles, this should not be happening. I'm really thinking I should trade it in and get an European car...... Can anyone give me advise as to why my car is now shutting off when braking?????????????

OK while I was driving down a highway that is 65 m.p.h. started to slow car down and it cut off, I was almost hit buy a truck, when I went to dealership , they said they could not duplicate it. now I see online that several people have had the same problem ! So the dealership lied to me when they said they never heard of the seabring touring edition. That is a lie ! i will be including this problem to the head of Chrysler as well. Someone is going to feel my high heels tap dancing on they're heads, I do not like being lied to and if i had known that Chrysler was going to act like this, i would have bought another Chevy !! Really angry that the car keeps stalling and sputtering when switching first to second gears. Chrysler wont fix it, says there is no problem because there is no error code!

Several times within the last year, vehicle has shut off while braking/approaching stop sign/light. Also, car has lurched while slowing to stop on separate occasions. In addition, I've experienced the car accelerating while in park position (without my foot on the accelerator). After several visits to dealership (and two tows because I was afraid to drive it), they replaced the computer in the car. However, this weekend had situation with car cutting off at stop light. Initially thought that I'd run out of gas but I had a quarter tank. Nevertheless, asked a friend to bring me more gas & the car would not still not start. So, I had to have the car towed and apparently diagnostics results produced no answers and they were unable to duplicate the problem. This really sucks!!

My 2008 Sebring has died 3 times today at stoplights/while stopped. It is a rainy day, and this has happened before...when I took it to the dealership they couldn't reproduce the problem or find any error codes, so they did nothing to fix it. It also sometimes 'lurches' while accelerating from a near-stop.

This had happened about 4 different times within a four month range! The first was at my child's school in a parking lot, thank goodness, at least i was able to make it to a parking spot even though the car was not running, it shut off just when i pulled in! The next was in the middle of traffic at a stop light the car just died and i didn't even realize it! i tried to push the gas when the light went green and couldn't go and then i saw all of the lights on and called my husband. i put the car in park and all of a sudden it started up again! this is just two of the times! when i took the car to the dealership for the problem they said they couldn't find any codes from the reading and they kept the car, which is highly inconvenient because its not like they give you a rental! while they had the car they couldn't reproduce the problem i was having so i had to take the car home knowing it was going to happen again! it did and i said oh well because it wasn't like they were going to find anything!
