Sebring 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 36,594 miles
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Sebring. While driving at approximately 70 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled. The contact coasted to the side of the road, turned off the engine and restarted it; the problem seemed to correct itself. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership but the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The dealer called the manufacturer was instructed to reset the computer; the dealer did reset it. Four months later, the problem occurred again. The contact planned to take the vehicle back to the dealership at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was 36,594. Updated 11/03/10. Sebring

  • 600 miles
Brand new (2 months old) Chrysler Sebring convertible caught fire while driving down a residential street. I have now discovered that there is a safety recall that was issued October 2007 for this but I was sold the vehicle in May 2008 and never notified of the safety recall. Car was a total loss.
