Clockspring assembly repaired three times. (nar) the consumer had made several attempts to have the malfunction on vehicle fixed, however the continued. The consumer is seeking reimbursement for repairs because the vehicle was defective.

The air bag warning light came on after the dealership checked the recall 02V293000, air bag clock spring assembly and indicated that it was fine, and didn't need replacement. Currently, dealership wanted to charge the consumer $70 to inspect the clock spring again.

Request reimbursement for numerous multi-function switch replacements. The problem caused the turn signals and horn to work intermittently, also the windshield wipers turned on by themselves. By the fourth failure the consumer took the vehicle to an independent car center and the problem was diagnosed as a broken clockspring. After two years of the ongoing problem and asking if there was a recall, the consumer then discovered there was a recall on the clockspring.

Consumer received a recall notice regarding the clock spring. The consumer had the repairs on the clock spring done on 05/08/2002 prior to receiving recall notice. Consumer sent receipts as proof of payment to Chrysler on January 12, 2003. And still did not receive reimbursement of $208.61, nor was consumer notified by manufacturer when the reimbursement would bre issued.

Prior to crash brake service light can on and dealer turned it off and said nothing was wrong.
