Same issue mentioned numerous times. Gauge cluster would stop working intermittently while driving, including gas gauge, speedometer, tachometer, and temp gauge, as well as the digital odometer and shift indicator. At night, the illumination on the gauges, as well as the radio and outside temp indicator, would flicker wildly. This was not an "all the time" issue, and did not stall the vehicle or cause undue mechanical or electronic problems outside of the afore mentioned. However, this same issue would affect startup. By trial and error, I found that once the odometer switched on, the van would start just fine. Otherwise, it thought it was being stolen and killed the fuel supply.

All is moot, since it was just taken to the scrapyard today for a dead fuel pump, leaky brake line, dead window motors, non-functioning emergency brakes, and the wildly popular electronics issues! Just another heads up to all of the people out there that are looking at one of these vehicles! I know it is 16 years old at this point, but there are older vehicles with FAR fewer issues than this pile of rust!

Still happening. Cant afford to get it fixed. The lights all turn off or randomly turn off not all at once, makes the entire car hard to drive.

We love the car, had it since new, great condition, took great mechanical care of it, but we are afraid to drive it for fear of a catastrophic failure - its been to the dealer - we spent several hundred got new transmission sensors only to have it come back the same, they can't guarantee any fix, wouldn't even call me back. Its been to our local repair shop, they cleaned contacts can't get a bad scan. Has anyone had this problem and continued to drive it without a problem with the ghosts in the dash board? We would love any input anyone has!!!!! Thanks
