Vehicle intermittently stalls at various speeds, but consistently at warm to hot temperatures (70Farh+). A gradual loss of power ensues while the engine coughs and chugs. Some episodes involve moderate amounts of white exhaust. A/C running at or near time of stalls. Vehicle will turn over after shutting off, but will not maintain normal idle and will immediately to soon after die if accelerator pressed. Once vehicle has been turned off and sits for approximately 45-60 minutes, will start normal and function normal. Highly regarded and trusted mechanic shop has run diagnostics and attempted to re-create conditions, to no resolution. They are baffled as to what is causing issue. Vehicle has been adapted after market for wheelchair access/transport. Trying to avoid hit and miss repairs to try and correct problem.

Probably an electrical problem; however, for the past two years (and only during warm weather) the engine has been intermittently stalling when slowing down for a turn -- occasionally even when driving at highway speeds. Until last week, the engine would always restart immediately and I could continue without a problem MOST of the time as long as I kept the A/C off. NOW, the engine will stop after a less than a half mile of driving and there seems to be a few minutes wait time before it will restart (turn key / no starter activity, but all lights / accessories function. Even after finally allowing a restart, it will only run for about one minute before the cycle repeats itself. Anyone responding with helpful advice has my sincere gratitude. -- Thanks
