The contact owns a 2002 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that the rear brake line ruptured, causing brake fluid to leak. The failure occurred three times. The contact had the brakes replaced each time and felt that there was a serious safety issue with the brake line. The contact called the manufacturer and was awaiting a response. The failure mileage was approximately 136,000.

We have 2 - 2001 Chrysler Town & Country vans. They both have less than 55000 and have had several mechanical malfunctions, some of which are very serious. They share many of the same problems which include, steering components, electrical failure of internal gauges, and radio replacements. One van also had a brake line separate while traveling on the highway about a month ago.

While driving the driver applied the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. The driver continued to hold the brake pedal to the floor until vehicle came to a stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was determined that the hydraulic brake line was defective.
