Currently it is cold, so I feel sorry for anyone with the same problem, as you have no choice but to enjoy free air conditioning till the engine warms up, as the fan is simply stuck in the on position. Can't wait till the temp gets to 95 this summer, and I have to wait for the A/C to kick in or I have to use it whether I like it or not.
Hope to resolve the problem way before that. It is looking like the fan motor and that switch that has been talked about here as the problem. Sure hope so.
The price of the repair is also much lower than what I have been quoted. Hope that is true too.

lets get to the point, one sunny afternoon i start my car to go to work and i took Cypress Creek Road and for those who know from Avon Ln. to i95 is a long road and when i start the van my ac was turn to off and big suprise my ac was pumpin' even higher than high, the next day im heading to wal-mart on Atlantic Blvd, and as im driving im watching my gas gauge drop, in the minutes ha ha its like im getting 5 minutes per gallon. because i wasen't getting pay ti'll next two weeks i got angry and SWUNG off the road and slamed on the brakes hopeing to freak out the car's ac but it just got louder and harder so i pulled the fuse. it stopped! yes for me the ac was blowing ice cold air

The blowing is so loud that I could not hear the pharmacist over the intercom in the drivethru lane. It is very distracting and now we have to turn the radio higher just to hear it over the constant noise from the heater.

We did try to have it fixed, but it failed within a month and brought it back and failed again...so we gave up. We use it on high for air and heat, it's annoying but we're used to it by now.

The vents for my AC/Heater will only blow on high. The also blow even if I have turned the power button to off. It will then blow harder and the air comes from the bottom vents and is usually hot air. This is the most annoying thing ever!! This is the first American made car I have had in 20 years. It makes me want to trade it in for a Toyota. I plan on having it fixed, but I am scared to find out how much it is going to cost!

I feel this problem should be fixed on recall, because i have been told by others who have a Chrysler that they have or have had the same problem. who can afford to run their air on high with gas prices over $3.

The AC/heater fan would only work on high. I replaced the fan speed module ($15 part located behind the glove box; very easy access) & all was well for about 3 months then same problem. The dealership parts counter guy said the blower motor was drawing too much current through the fan speed module which would short the lower speed resistors. He advised replacing both the blower motor ($125 part) & fan speed control module.

I bought the card for the back side of the glove box and that didn't fix the problem. I found out when that card goes it stresses the blower or something along those lines so I was told to change the blower. Well that was no easy task the screws are hidden and almost impossible to get to! I did get it done...except one screw that I couldn't get into the spot even my son who's tiny hand could barely reach the spot could not get it started. I figured it was one screw and it has been fine. But I think I have to change the card again the blower only works on certain speeds again!
