The contact owns a 2002 Chrysler Town and country. While the contact was at driving various speeds the engine stalled without prior warning. The engine restarted and the contact resumed normally. The failure recurred sporadically. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and they were unable to locate the problem. The manufacturer was made aware of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000. Updated 8/29/11 the consumer also stated the vehicle had electrical problems and the PCM failed. Updated 10/05/11

Vehicle experienced sudden engine stalling while on the road. Vehicle was then no longer able to start, and was taken to a dealer. Result showed that the body and transmission control module needed to be replaced.

Engine sputtering and failure occured at 23000 miles while driving. Vehicle serviced by dealer several times, replacing and repairing electrical system components. Dealer has replaced wiring harness/ iginition coils, bare electrical wire shorted/ PCM replaced/replaced clock spring twice, and replaced front control module. Consumer wasvery concerned about electrical problems. Does not feel vehicle is safe.
