transmission was replaced in feb. 2007 when we made the last car payment. we had an extended warrenty which covered the transmission replacement. the car has cost us in excess of 12,000 dollars to repair since we have owned it. presently i took the car in for an oil change which we have always done religiously. the mechanic told us our transmission module was leaking and neededs repair. we didnt want transmission problems the car had been running well no transmission issue since it failed in 2007. we had the module repaired and now the transmission is slipping the engine light came on it revs to 4000 rpms and goes 20 mile an hour up hill. im furious. we have had so many problems with this car over the years. struts collapsing steering repaired twice, the horn hasnt worked in 5 years, the entire ac unit fell out of the car on the highway with smoke pouring into the inside of the car. universal belt replaced, alternator water pumps....,cv boots , rack and pinion steering x 2,rusted antifreeze line al antifreeze spilled out of car on highway both door motors failed and more...... we have 3 toyotas. we have no problems with them. our 1999 4 runner has 250,000 miles on it no problems 2002 highlander only major repair was the automatic replacement of timing belt, 2007 4runner no issues. why cant american cars be like toyotas.i know my husband will never buy another american car. the next stop for this car is the junk yard. chysler you should be ashamed , very ashamed for manufacturing such an inferior product and torturing the american people with costly repairs you desreve to go out of buisiness. you make a comfortable car but what good is it when the average american family cant afford to repair it?
