Purchased the van in 2008, used with 64000 miles. It now has 107000 miles on it. About 6 months into ownership it began stalling after the van was filled up with fuel. As long as the fuel tank was not completely filled up it would run fine. If you let the pump auto stop on the first click or top off it will stall- every time.
I researched online forums and found many other owners like myself. Most of them who had their vans repaired were replacing the fuel rollover valve. Spoke to my local dealership and found out the valve is built into the fuel pump and the only way to repair is to replace the entire gas tank since the pump is built into it. A very costly repair. I settled on making sure I never fill my tank completely. I lose about 2 gals of capacity this way. I drive by my local dealer daily and I see replaced gas tanks sitting behind the dealership all the time. The dealership also told me the part has never been revised so it will eventually occur again. It should be recalled and the Chrysler Corp. cover the cost and design a functioning part that works.
I have seen where more Chrysler vehicles are having this problem. It is time they stepped up and admitted they have a problem. This is my last Chrysler vehicle. If the repair would cure the problem permanently I would have paid for it already. The person who designed this faulty part should be required to own one of these faulty vans and fill it up every day to know how aggravating it is.
