The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler Town and country. The contact recently purchased the vehicle and noticed that the rear beam axle developed extreme rust. The contact also stated that the mounts that held the rear leaf springs were almost completely rusted as well. In addition, the vehicle was loosing oil abnormally, but there was no signs of where the oil was leaking. The vehicle was not inspected or repaired. The failure and current mileages were 101,000.

The contact owns a 20045 Chrysler Town and country LX. While driving various speeds over bumps in the road, the vehicle makes loud noises. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer on November 15, 2007 and they replaced the sway bar bushing; however, the repair did not permanently correct the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer on Feb 12, 2009. The dealer stated that the failure could recur two or three times in the lifetime of the vehicle. The repair would cost $475. The manufacturer is aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall; therefore, they would not assist with the repair. The failure mileage was 65,836 and current mileage was 85,132. The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler Town and country. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer because of a loud knocking sound when driving over bumps. The mechanic stated that the noise was from the wear and tear of the suspension. The defect was replaced with a front suspension bushing sway eliminator module. The dealer stated that this was a common failure with this year, make, and model vehicle. The dealer further stated that there were no recalls available. The speed was unknown. The failure mileage was 64,000 and current mileage was 65,000. Updated 3/5/08

Consumer 2004 Chrysler Town and country ball sockets were loose, rack and pinion was leaking red and pink fluid. The bushings had worn out, which was due to the rattle the consumer was hearing from the front of the vehicle.
