2005 Chrysler Town and country power door locks inoperative. Pulling the 20A iod fuse and reinserting it fixes the problem for about 3 or lock/unlocks of the vehicle. After that the locks are broken again. Kids can open the door while in motion because the door does not lock at this point.

Our Chrysler T&C 2005 lmtd, will stall while in motion. The dash and all cabin electrical will flash and eventually shut off at once. This happens at slow speeds, approaching intersections and when accelerating at intersections. Yesterday my wife was crossing a intersection when the van stalled causing her to stop abruptly in the intersection. If it wasn't for a police officer behind her interceding and stopping traffic, she would have been hit by several cars. We have brought the car into service over 8 times to our local dealership to no avail. The BCM was replaced, alternator. They can't replicate the issue and have no answers. This car is a danger to drive. This issue happens on a daily basis while in traffic. At highway speeds the car is fine.

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated while driving at approximate speeds of 30 mph, the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The mechanic advised that the egr valve would need to be replaced. The contact declined however the mechanic did reset the vehicle central computer. The dealer was unaware if repairs to the egr valve would be covered under the contact's factory warranty. There were no further repairs made to the vehicle. The contact believes that the vehicle auto warranty should take the liability for the vehicle repairs. I have had the BCM replaced 3 times, the cluster panel replaced, the alternator replaced 2 times, fan replaced, replaced power distribution center. Chrysler service center claimed they checked all wiring. Van is still not fixed. I feel it is dangerous for my children. This happens all the time while driving. I have had it towed because it would not start. I have had it worked on so many times. I have read other people have this problem. Airbag light is now on again.

I own a 2005 Chrysler Town and country minivan. I noticed that there is a recall on the front crash sensor that doesn't start until June, but my airbag warning light is already illuminated. It started lighting up a couple of months ago. When I contacted my local Chrysler dealership, they denied any knowledge of a recall. I called Chrysler directly and was told that I could get the sensor fixed right now, but it would have to be at my own expense. The dealership was going to charge me $130 for diagnostics, when they should already know about the recall. My concern is this: If (god forbid) I happen to be in a crash between now and June, what happens if my airbag doesn't deploy" Chrysler is aware that my sensor is out and is doing nothing. What are my options for ensuring the safety of my vehicle over the course of the next three months, before the "official" recall begins" I truly think this is a sham that Chrysler knows about the problem, but is taking their sweet time in coming up with a solution and fixing our defective vehicles.

Two years ago, February 2008, I had the body control module on my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country replaced. The van was a little over three years old and out of warranty. The repair cost $658. It was replaced with a dealer part at a Chrysler dealership. This past Saturday it started with the same symptoms as in 2008. It won't start, the doors will not unlock, and it drains the battery. I just want to know if other van owners have the same problems.

Headlamps go off intermittently. Movement of headlamp switch will turn them back on, but, interior lights are dead when opening door and overhead computer is dead when lights are on. Dangerous situation for the headlamps as it could cause a wreck. Reading online blogs this seems to be a bad problem with the 2005 model year Chrysler Town and country's and Dodge Caravan's. does someone have to get killed first to warrant an NHTSA investigation? I did a search on investigations for my vehicle year and type and only found the air bag investigations. This is a very common issue with not only my year but other years of Chrysler mini-vans. It needs attention!

Bought my car March 1st 2005. Took it back on March 11th 2005 because the remote start for the car would start the car for two seconds then cut off, then start again for two seconds, then cut again, ect. The car dealer shop repaired the problem that day. After I took the car home, the remote stopped working after two days. I took the car back to the car dealer. They said they replaced a part again. Well, I didn't try using the remote again until February of 2007. When I tried to use it then, it just would not work at all. I did not take it back to the car dealer until August of 2008 to see if they would repair or replace it again. The car dealer told me this would be the last time they would repair this remote problem on this car because the warrant had ran out. Since then the remote start on my 2005 Chrysler/Town & Country/touring has stopped working again.
