Vehicle starts up and as you accelerate into an intersection the van dies. Mechanic replaced intake manifold and related sensors and check the computer but believes the problem is the wiring harness. Diagnostic was run on the computer and that is not the problem. Mechanic thought he had fixed it but 2 minutes out from the mechanics shop the vehicle died and kept dying as I pressed on the accelerator. I had to make it back to the shop going about 5 miles per hour. After a $843 repair bill the van still won't run without dying and is dangerous to drive.

My windshield wipers will turn on by themselves or stop working when they are in use. This also causes the headlights not ot work and some of the dashboard lights to light up. This is caused by water somehow getting under the fuse box and shorts the wires out. This has happened to me while driving on a busy highway in the rain. I never know when this is going to happen and it is very dangerous.

During a heavy traffic on hwy the engine died casing me to stop in the middle not being able to merge right or left. After several months of investigation, I found out that the electrical harness that powers the injectors was not well insulated causing the wires to melt. The ECU didn't record any codes which led me to start the repair by elimination. The ECU was replaced and programmed because no codes were registered. The coil pack was replaced because of the random firing loss. The fuel pump was replaced because the new spark plugs were completely dry, and finally after replacing all sensors, the harness was checked for corrosion that where I found this section of the harness melted.

I own a 05 Town and country and the electrical system has been failing though the entire vehicle from the radio shorting out, headlights flicking on and off, rear sensors failing, upper display above the mirror gone black where the temp. And miles till empty controls are. On top of that the car is now randomly stalling while driving has me in fear to drive it with my kids. I have read hundreds of reports about this same issue with not only this year but all the way up through 2012. My mechanic has changed the erg valve and many other parts but there has got to be a bigger issue. Cars should not be stalling out while driving. If you look into all the complaints about this specific car stalling randomly you will see that there is a huge issue with this in many years of this car and someone is going to get hurt if they haven't already due to this issue with this specific make and model. I am requesting a full investigation into all the reports on this issue scattering the internet and I hope action is taken to save lives. When the car stalls while driving the power steering and brakes fail and is extremely dangerous

Vehicle in motion or stationary. Gauge cluster flutters, tach, fuel, temp gauge have erratic movement fluttering up and down at a rapid rate. Speedometer not affected when in motion. Fluttering can be activated on it's own, or turn signal, power window switch or brake switch can cause the fluttering of gauges as well, at some points, fluttering becomes so bad, it will restart the radio and cause the dash warning lights to flicker as well (oil light, seat belt light etc...). I have a video of this happening on my dash but it looks like only images are allowed to be uploaded. Happens at any time. 5 miles, 100 miles, 50 miles etc... this is my 2nd mini van that this has happened on and eventually it gets so bad that vehicle will refuse to start. The other mini van that this has done this one was a 2006 Chrysler Town and country also. VIN for that vehicle can be provided as well if need be, or a separate report can be made on that vehicle. Only one date can be selected on this form but this problem has been ongoing for about 3 months now.

When vehicle is idling or being driven the instrument cluster, and all other electrical components will begin to fluctuate. At the beginning of the problem one can hear a short bell tone coming from the dash area. The gauge needles move from one extreme to another, at idle or low speed the engine will die loosing all power steering and braking. After approx 1-2 minutes the van will reset and it can be restarted. While this problem is occurring there is a steady clicking coming from the dash and in the fuse panel. At speeds above approx 15 mph and engine rpms above 1750 the engine will continue to operate but the instrument cluster continues to fluctuate. This van is used to Transport a disabled person. So it is important to have safe transportation. This van is not safe and cannot be relied upon to operate properly. The dealership and independent repair facilities say they can find nothing wrong even when the dash cluster and all other components are not operating properly. At the request of the dealer and a repair facility I have replaced the battery and alternator but no change in vans electrical problems. I have no idea what the problem may be.

Power locks dont work. Tried resetting iod fuse and unplugging battery. Locks works a few times then stops working. This is a safety and security feature. I have read so many complaints on this issue. Passenger seat belt does not set when put on. If in an accident passengers SE as T belt will not restrain. We just bought this van and the two previous owners said locks hasn't worked correctly since 2005.

While driving on rural road at night, shortly after turning right and disabling windsheild wipers: The headlights and entire instrumental panel completely shut off working without warning. Pulling back on the blinker lever and holding it back activated the brights and those worked. After toggling headlight switch off and back on, instrument panel and headlights reactivated. This failure mode doesn't exactly match EA11010, which claims that the instrument panel remains in operation while only the headlights fail. However I am unclear on whether my van's problem could still be at least partly caused by the headlight switch, so I will replace it at my own cost. My Chrysler dealership tells me they will only replace the switch under warranty if they can reproduce the problem, and otherwise they will charge a $150 diagnostic fee... more than the cost of the switch! I'm not falling for that trick! I am very disappointed with the decision to not resolve EA11010 with a recall. Headlights failing without warning at any time is a real safety issue, and it is too intermittent to diagnose on demand. Thus a recall is the only appropriate response to ensure safety. Instead, in order to proactively protect my family, I am forced to spend my own money for replacement. I thought the NHTSA was here to help?

Interior and exterior lights flicker to varying degrees on an intermittent basis. This electrical problem sometimes causes the engine to die while car is in transit thereby creating a safety issue. It also is a danger and annoyance to oncoming traffic at night. Several entities have attempted to correct this problem, including attempts by my local Chrysler dealer. No one has been able to fix the problem. It is still ongoing as of 2-16-16 and began shortly after I purchased the car in 2007.

Was driving through an intersection (after stopped at a red light) and vehicle shut off in the middle of intersection with no warning. Also, for months now, the lights and gauges in dashboard have flickered on and off while driving... we took it to dealer and they re-set the computer but it didn't resolve the light flickering issue. We have replaced the alternator and also had the battery checked.
