The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Town and country. While traveling 60 mph, the vehicle stalled. After ten minutes, the vehicle restarted. When the fuel tank was half full, the vehicle immediately ran out of fuel. In addition, the warning lights on the instrument panel no longer illuminated and the seat belt sensor warning indicator illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 265,000.

Air bag warning light on instrument panel illuminates on/off constantly. Came on/off 38 times on a recent 160 mile trip to St. Joe, mo. It happens at all different speeds. *************************************** seat belt warning light also comes on somewhat frequently.

My vehicle is a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country mini-van. The air bag warning light comes on frequently. In spring 2009, [?] I called Chrysler headquarters, and requested they fix it. I talked to a Chrysler rep. A few times, by phone, who required that I take it to the dealer for a diagnostic test, which I was to pay for. I did. But Chrysler waved the diagnostic fee. They told me that Chrysler was not going to cover the cost of the fix. As the recall at that time did not include Missouri. Only 20 some states in the N.E. area. They did however have the light turned off for a week or so, then it came back on. And on one 80 mile drive I made, this 'airbag' light came on and off around 100 times. It still comes on and off maybe not that frequently. I think Chrysler should be required to take care of this, & the seat belt retainer issue, which is also intermittent. Chrysler did try to fix the seatbelt retainer back in 2007 I think it was, but its not completely cured.

The front right passenger seat belt does not lock or click in place. I researched recall number 04V047000 and learned there were similar issues. Contacted the dealer and was told that there was no recall on my particular vehicle. This appears to be more of a manufacturer problem and a great safety risk. The dealer just took my info but offered no assistance.

I was a front seat passenger in a 2005 Chrysler minivan Town & Country. It was a rental. We had a front end collision and upon impact the front passenger airbag did not deploy until we were at a stop. Also, the seat belt did not lock in place and I was thrown into the windshield and dash. Injuries were sustained. Please advise.
