problem #1

Apr 032005

Town & Country 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 250 miles
I had just picked up my new vehicle from the dealer and had only 250 miles on it. I was simply driving down the road when the transmission seemed to shift into neutral and then back into gear. I quickly pulled over but everything seemed okay. I continued on and quickly discovered the transimission was not shifting out of low gear. I called the 800 number for Chrysler road service only to be told that there were no contracted service providers in the area where I was. I made other arrangements to have it towed to the nearest dealer (<10 miles away). The problem turned out to be a failed power train control module. It's been a week and they still have not fixed the problem because no parts are available. I've been given a promise date that is almost 3 weeks out.
