The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the tie rod was loose. This vehicle was repaired yet the failure recurred. The front passenger and driver side tie rod failed after it was repaired; however, since the component was not covered by the warranty, he was responsible for the repair costs.
